No matter what mask is worn… politics, government, religious, culture, or education there is a war for people’s minds. Deception and confusion reigns in our day. But Jesus warned His followers while praying to God the Father, “I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.” John 17:14. One of the inner circle of Jesus’ disciples listened well and wrote, “We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.” 1 John 5:19
Hiding behind nations, governments, and all the people of the world an invisible, dark force tries to deceive and destroy mankind. Christ Jesus warned, “And from the time John the Baptist began preaching until now, the Kingdom of Heaven has been forcefully advancing, and violent people are attacking it.” Matthew 11:12 (NLT2)
Even if you feel safe and comfortable with everything around you, remember the warning of 1 Thessalonians 5:3-6 (NKJV):
3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.
4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.
5 You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.
6 Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.
Those under the spell of the devil’s deceptions are asleep. Don’t join them in their sleep.
Revelation 12:12 warns, “Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.”
You may only see the world falling apart! You may think crooked politicians are to blame for all the chaos you see. But, look beyond all of it, and trust the Word of God. Do not panic. LIVE BY FAITH!
Matthew 24:6-14 (NLT2)
6 And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won’t follow immediately.
7 Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world.
8 But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come.
9 “Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed. You will be hated all over the world because you are my followers.
10 And many will turn away from me and betray and hate each other.
11 And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people.
12 Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold.
13 But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
14 And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come.
Ephesians 6:10-18 (NKJV)
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints–
